EAGLE WINS EBONITE

Dale Eagle stayed in the winners bracket never losing a match to capture the Ebonite Firecracker 10,000. Rick Ramsey needed to beat Dale twice to win the tournament, Ramsey never really got lined up in the two game match, finishing second. Chuck Pierce was third, George Pappas fourth, T.J. Johnson was fifth with Guppy Troup.
We thank Bob Reid and Ebonite for hosting and sponsoring the five day event. The seminar was great on Wednesday. The burgers and hot dogs were great on the fourth. Grady Creasie won both sweepers on Thursday night.
The bowling condition  was fair and demanded good shots. The a/c was partly out Friday until about 5p.m. The heat made the approaches tacky causing the scores to suffer. Bunches of spares were missed, one guy was about even and missed 22 spares Friday.
Notes: Charlie Pickett won the dog of the week award with 110 low game of the tournament. Gary Dickinson left the lily. Don Derr won the Super Duper Check (high non-casher over 70) with -337. Chuck Pierce can not add! John

Woessner is years behind Guppy Troup, so John got  a tattoo of  a Joker on his arm, far out!!!!!
This was our first try at this event. Ebonite put up five thousand and another twenty-five hundred from their bowling center. We thank them again. We accepted membership and let  anyone bowl like we have done for thirteen years. Our objective was to fill the tournament which happened. Next year members will have to support  some previous tournaments to be eligible. Thanks to the few name players that bowled, that helps us with our sponsor.
Remember we need your entry fee $320 to enter you in the member-guest doubles.
See ya in Tulsa!!!!!!!!!!!!
