Rick "The Tub" Talley just blew away the Ebonite Senior
Tour stop in Tulsa for two years in a row. Mike Fleming was in second, the last
match needing to beat The Tub by 87 pins to win. Talley started with a eight bagger, solid
ten, off the sheet, 279 and the shut out. Fleming rolled a fine 233 game but was
dropped to fourth, Dee Munsell and Dick Smith passed him. How did the Tub beat all of
those fine lefties? Home boy Tracy Patterson finished fifth in the 130 man field.
Notes: John Williams won the dog of the week award with 124 low game of the tournament.
David Zappitelli left the lily. Perfect scores were rolled by Ewine Adcock,
Dewayne Thompson, and Mike Iskra. Bob Neely got his first super senior check. Ewine
Adcock made his first finals. Dan Distler cashed in his first try. Lavelle Lowe made a
early run, but he got tired and faded in the stretch.
