NEWMAN TAKES HOUSTON

SASBA bowler of the year, Maury Newman finished with a five bagger to come from third to win the Ebonite Senior Tour stop at Dynamic Lanes in Houston. Whew!!!!!!!!!  It was a really big boy lane condition.  Everybody that could muster a 200 average cashed. They had Twister pins and a very demanding trip to the pocket.  Bill Smith bowled great finishing second.  Qualifying leader Tommy Crouch lead the event almost all of the way was bumped into third place.  The Easter Event drew 84 entries.
Notes:  Buddy Weise rolled 125 to win the dog of the week award for low game of the tournament.  Jim Paine cashed. John Riley was not chirping.  Jim King had no comment.  John Ernst has retired, and does not know how to wear his seat belt.
A collection was taken for Wyatt Slaughter who is in a Flagstaff, Arizona hospital with a very seri

Ebonite will conduct a demo-days on Friday before the tournament at Emerald  Bowl in Houston, our next stop. They  will have adjustable thumb holes where we can try out Ebonite's latest and greatest.  See ya there!!!!!!!!!!!!
