HULME & CREASIE
WIN EBONITE FIRECRACKER

Ebonite Firecracker Senior Tournament:

On his 55th birthday, Ronnie Hulme went undefeated in the winners bracket to meet the winner of the losers bracket, Mike Fleming. Mike needed to win two of the two game matches to win the championship. He bested Hulme the first match but it was Ronnie's day, he came back to win the final match and the championship. Bill Keenan finished third and Gary Woodard was a fine fourth place.

Ebonite Firecracker Super Senior Tournament:

Grady Creasie sailed through the 16 game qualifying in first place, then won all of his matches in the winners bracket to wait for Dave Soutar, the winner of the losers bracket.

Inside this issue:

Soutar was no match this day, lost the first match to give Grady the win. Gary Dickinson was third and Bob McGregor was fourth.
This tournament was maybe SASBA'S finest event ever. The bowling condition was playable on both sides, but required good shots to score. We had $19,000.00 added money. The Wednesday seminar was great. There were 510 entries in the free sweeper. There was over $100,000.00 paid out with all of the side action. Sixty four bowler made the finals.
See ya in Shreveport!!!!!!

Notes:

Notes: Chuck Fairchild won the dog of the week award with 115 low game of the tournament. Three hundreds were rolled by C J Johnson, Sal Turano, Mark Estes, Ed Vowell, Dave Soutar, and Mike Fleming. We are going back next year!! Rick Talley sang at the bar at the hotel for the group there, he needs to stick to bowling! Dr Dean in the seminar taught the group that you have five seconds after a shot to be glad or mad. The bowlers with Stan Workman imposed the rule on him and he was soooooo good, it was scary. Gary Woodard bowled great. David Addington liked it. Once again thanks to Steve and his staff at River Lanes for a great tournament. Don't miss it next year.
