Text Box: Jim King, after neck surgery and three months of rehab, captured the Ebonite Senior Tour title in Enid. King started with a commanding lead in the first eight game round of qualifying, Second place, Rick Talley led the qualifying and rolled a big last game to get to second. Mark Estes started slow but bowled the best in the finals to get to third. Grady Creasie rolled a 289 game the last game to rise to fourth. Jim Ensminger finished fifth. The bowling condition Text Box: required precision shot making on both sides. King, Talley, and Ensminger all averaged 220 which was great bowling. My take on the new format was that is was great. The only bad thing was that the B Squad bowled much better that the A Squad on Saturday. Maybe all of the stripping of the lanes opened them up as we went along. If we bowled on that condition all of the time we would be better bowlers. Text Box: The Ebonite Firecracker Tournament will be held at Don Carter City View in Fort Worth over the fourth of July weekend. Our next Event is our annual Member-Member Doubles Tournament.. Only one champion can bowl together, super seniors are exempt. We already have a good early entry. There are 64 lanes and will accommodate more than we ever have had entered. See ya there.
