Text Box: Jim Stephens and Chris Johnson lapped the field in the Ebonite Senior Tour Member-Guest Doubles Tournament at Don Carter City View in Fort Worth. Maury Newman and Aric Alcarez were second, defending champs Ron Benz and Matt Cabanski finished third, Dewayne Thompson and Doug Martindale were fourth, and Phil Bailey and Gary Robinson came in fifth.
There was a lane machine malfunction on Text Box: eight lanes on A Squad, flooding those lanes. This caused an unfair condition for most of the teams on that squad.
The tournament had already started before we became aware of it. There was nothing to do but run the tournament as advertised. When we start most of these doubles tournaments there is always something that the staff has to do, like one of the guests was late and one pair had a motor on Text Box: the ball return that had to be repaired. We had to line up another team to move to A Squad if the late bowler didn’t show and watch to see if we had to move the bowlers that was down. If you have something that you think that is wrong with your lane, let us know before we start.
The Firecracker is next. This is two tournaments A Senior and Super Senior division, different prize lists.
Text Box: STEPHENS-JOHNSON M-G CHAMPS

Text Box: Tad Person, a guest, rolled 125 and JD Whitley rolled 133 to win dogs of the week award for low game of the tournament.

Three hundreds were rolled by Ryan Boroff, Todd Clatanoff, Matt Cabanski, Doug Patton, and T J Johnson. Johnson will win $100 from Ebonite because he was using Ebonite’s new XXCELL ball.

Text Box: Ronnie Diamond beat Jim Carter!

Ron Woodruff made the finals in his first try. Danny Speranza made the finals in his first try too. Henry Johnson made the finals for the first time.

Bob Freehauf made the finals again, trying to catch Robert Gibbs in all time winnings, did he do it?

John Woessner dyed the little patch of hair under his lip Text Box: purple, what next???

Ron DePolo beat his first games he had in the member-member tournament by 203 pins.

Zap bought two plaques from Larry Stroud, wonder what they were for?

Remember that we have $6000.00 added to each division of the Ebonite Firecracker tournament.
