Text Box: 	Fred Barnes, coming from the losers bracket needed to beat CJ Johnson who captured the winners bracket and was the defending champion in the Ebonite Firecracker Tournament for the super seniors in Fort Worth. Barnes won the first match by one hundred pins to force a final showdown match. Fred Leaped out to a thirty pin lead the first game. CJ switched to his Ebonite Big Time and started striking with a seven bagger, then a ten pin, meanwhile Fred went spare, then striking with CJ, ball for ball to wind up Text Box: with a 279 to shut Johnson out for the victory. Gary Dickinson was third, Mike Berry fourth, and Richard Britton and Bob McGregor tied for fifth and sixth.
	Pete McCordic captured the winners bracket in the Senior Division. Geroge Pappas fought his way to the top of the Losers Bracket, needing to beat Pete twice. Pappas was forty seven down after the first game. He struck out from the sixth frame of the second game to shut out McCordic who could not carry the corners.  The Text Box: second match was a repeat of the first one. McCordic got ahead then Pappas got seven on a row to shut out Pete again, for the win. David Ozio finished third, Mike Holland fourth, and Maury Newman and Sal Turano tied for fifth and sixth.

Text Box: Larzell Cummings and Larry Pringle tied for the dog of the week award with 126 low game of the tournament.
Three Hundreds were rolled by Jim Ensminger, Paul McCordic, Mike Holland, David Ozio (2), and David Manning. 
Jim King left the lily on a rerack. Billy Hargett had a CP on a ten bagger, spared  for a 280 game, he left Text Box: another CP later as did Capt. Eddie Vowell. Richard Britton had 13 RB’s. Watch out when he gets those RB’s he is hard to beat. 
Stan Workman had a successful five way bypass July 2nd. Dave Dupont delivered a vase of dead flowers and weeds to Stan’s room from his buddies in SASBA. When he read the card he loved it. 
Great bowling by Mike Holland, Rob Pohlman, Rick McKinney, Text Box: Bill Anderson, Toby Yeager, Tom Hay, Jim Wofford, Mario Colaluca, and Jesse Jackson.

Ebonite donated two XXXCEL balls to the first out in each tournament. Fat Albert Waites and Phil Bailey won those. We will have the triple Xes in Dallas for sale.
