Text Box: David Ozio rolled +677 in the qualifying to best Steve Rays qualifying record by five pins in the Ebonite Senior Tour tournament at 300 bowl in Conroe. Ozio cruised to the win by 190 pins over second place Rick Minier. Mark Estes was third, Bill Smith fourth , and Maury Newman captured fifth. Ozio was using an Ebonite V2 Power and had many chances to roll 300 to get the $100 Text Box: prize for Ebonite, but was unable do it. Rookie, Mike Cox made his first finals, look for him to repeat many times.
Host Barry Chapman had his center in fine shape and his employees ran a great show for us. The lanes started out fairly slick and tightened up, game by game, never breaking down. Even Whole Lane Gillane was outside, a first for him. The left Text Box: side looked like it had less oil and the lefties that found the shot bowled good, even Fluffy found it and bowled great. The carry down caused the right side to move to the right as play ensued to make the ten pin. Many balls went in the right gutter.
Our next event will be at Copperfield Bowl in Houston.
See ya there!!!!!!!!!!!!
