SASBAText Box: Jim Stephens won the Ebonite Senior Tour’s Annual Championship in Plano for the second year in a row. Stephens was faced with a needed win in the final position round match against Paul McCordic to repeat. Jim started with a four bagger dousing Paul’s quest to catch the leader. The loss dropped McCordic to third behind Mike Fleming who had to double in the tenth to move into Text Box: second. Billy Hargett finished fourth, and Norm Clark was fifth. Bob Freehauf and Syd Thornton won the second chance doubles over J D Whitley and Jim Hardesty.
Mike Fleming and Jerry Swank rolled 300 games with their Ebonite XXXCEL bowling balls to win $100 each from Ebonite.
Jim King had surgery on Oct 6th to repair his right shoulder. The procedure was Text Box: successful and he is in the hands of nurse Kathy. He should be able to return to the lanes in four to six months.
We have a schedule change, the Masters Tournament scheduled for the 12-13th of November in New Braunfels had to be moved because Wurstfest is there that weekend and there are no rooms available. We will bowl at Don Carter City View in Fort Worth Text Box: STEPHENS REPEATS
Text Box: Jamie’s Tournament Notes
Text Box: Don Wall rolled 134 to capture the dog of the week award for low game of the tournament.

Three hundred games were rolled by Mark Estes, Mike Fleming. Jerry Swank, and Al Denton.

The Linds Shoes were won by Shawn Rasti in the sweeper and by Joe Binder for being first out in the tournament.
Shawn got his first SASBA check!
Text Box: Gary Dickinson was presented with a first class Texas U jersey by Mike Lynch. The jersey upgraded the King’s wardrobe.

I crossed with Paul McCordic and witnessed great bowling. If he were bowling no-tap he would have had seven 300 games and one 278 game. The ball he got eight on, he had changed balls and it hooked more, I can’t figure out why he changed balls! It was Text Box: something to see, and he was not high Saturday.

Mike Warren won his last SASBA event bowling right handed. This time he bowled left handed and led the tournament Saturday. He said that he wore out Sunday dropping in a tie for 12th. Great bowling!!!!!
