Text Box: Jerry Swank struck out in the tenth frame of the final match to dash the hopes of Jimmy Young and Sean Swanson’s dreams of winning the Ebonite Senior Tour member-guest tournament in Beaumont. Swank’s partner, Royce Rusher had set the scene with a foundation ninth frame strike. David Ozio and Mark Laracuente rolled 268 the final game to finish second edging Young’s team by three pins. Our host, Mark Williams was Text Box: teamed with Paul McCordic and they finished fourth, one pin behind Young’s team. Kerry Painter and Ted Pritts won the first fourteen matches to come from the back of the pack to finish fifth. Thanks to mark Williams for hosting this event. Only four bowlers did not average 200. The lefties averaged 221 and the righties averaged 220, just a sight edge to the southpaws. Please take note! Three hundreds were rolled by Jerry Swank, Bill Gillane, Joey Amadeo, and David Manning. Swank and Gillane used Text Box: Ebonite balls and were awarded $100 each from the company. The Crossroads Bowl has had a shopping center erected in front of it. Rita blew down the sign. This made the center a little difficult to find. Jim King, navigating for Kathy needed a Text Box: record five cell calls to find the center from less than a block away. Fluffy Paine found himself at Wal-Mart, a mile west of the center. In the end all bowlers found the place. Even Rudy Garcia was early, Rountree too!!!
