Text Box:         Super Seniors Willie Wells and Roger West matched up for a classic battle in the final match at Fiesta Lanes in New Braunfels, TX. Willie was hooking it and Roger was going straight and only the two of them could figure out the carry. Willie started with the front 4, while Roger went X / X / X. Willie left a 2-7 and converted it and Roger got two more Xs. Willie then doubled and spared and Roger got two more Xs. Willie could shut Roger out by going off the sheet in the 9th and 10th. He struck in the 9th and the first ball in the 10th Text Box: and then hung a 10 pin in the 11th. Roger could win the match with two strikes in the 10th, but a pulled shot left the 4-7 and Willie had his 2nd  SASBA title. Tam wasson got 3rd place and Phil Bailey and Steven Wright tied for 4th and 5th.

          Bill Anthony made the finals in his first SASBA tournament. We had 4 other first time bowlers. Seven Super Seniors made the 16 man finals, including septuagenarians Tip Text Box: bullock and Bob Freehauf. Ronnie hulme and Dee Munsell were back after long absences and both made the finals.
           Our next tournament is a super senior singles at All Star Lanes in Shreveport, LA next week. Two weeks later, we will be at Millenium Bowl in N. Little Rock, AR.
