Text Box: At All Star Lanes in Shreveport, LA, Steve McBride and Roger West vied for the lead most of the tournament. However, Dale Eagle used a 300 in the 5th game of the finals to get close enough to Steve that if he won the match, he would pass him. Steve rolled a great 245, but Eagle ran off an eight-bagger for 269 and the title. Roger got 3rd, Mark Estes finished 4th and Maury Newman rounded out the top 5.
Text Box: Thanks to Claude Thomas and staff for hosting this Super Senior only event. We will be back there in August for a regular singles.
Eagle, Bill Gillane and Matt Stewart had the only 300s. Clayton Couch made his first finals. We had more new members. SASBA bowlers are doing a great job of recruiting. Keep it up!
Our next tournament is at Millennium Bowl in Text Box: N. Little Rock, AR. It will be one squad, meeting at 10:00, bowl at 10:30 am. Next month we have another Super Senior tournament at University Lanes in Denton, TX. It is limited to the first 80 paid entries. Don’t get shut out!
