Text Box: early! Yee Ha got a check! Bill taylor didn’t injure anyone running out shots and made the finals!
Text Box: D.L Moody picked up the Big 4, but did not finish 1st out of the money as he predicted. Ted ran out a strike and jumped (really), but Text Box: he was on the wrong lane. Gary Goforth got a check in his first tournament. A.D. and Bonnie Byrd dropped in! Bryce got there a week Text Box: Jim’s Notes
Text Box: SASBA rookie Tam Wasson vaulted into the lead in the 3rd game of the finals and entering the last game led David Zappitelli by 102 pins. However, Tam opened in the 1st frame and did not have a double in the first 5 frames, while David was stringing strikes. Tam finally doubled in the 6th and Dave was still striking. As long as Tam struck he held a 10 pin lead for the title. Dave got the 10th one, then spared for 288...forcing Tam to mark to win his first title. Tam struck out for 247...staying close enough to win. Congrats Tam. It won’t be his last title.
Text Box: Mike Fleming tied for the last finals spot, but won the tiebreaker, then climbed steadily to nail down 3rd place, Roger West led qualifying for the 3rd tournament in a row and finished 4th. Rich Goodrich rounded out the top 5.
Thanks to Shane Gilmore and crew for being great hosts. The shot was fair and held up great… and the approaches were great as well.
