Text Box: Text Box: There were so many MMs, it would be impossible to mention them all, but ME had 2 in one game. We also saw 3 off the left more than once and even one off the left. CPs and SWs were present as well. Richard and Grady got 4th place, but Text Box: were in for a very long ride home to Memphis, chauffeuring Vescovo in the same car. Gilder and Lacy’s GPS got them lost. We had bowlers from FL, MO, MS, TN, OK, LA, IN, and TX in this event .

Text Box: Ray Vescovo and Roger West executed better than anyone else and romped to victory in the over 60/over 70 doubles event at Corsicana Super Bowl in Corsicana, TX. It was the first SASBA title for Ray and the 11th for Roger. With a rush at the end, John Austin Sr. and Dennis Francis got 2nd. Bob Martin and Tommy Crouch got 3rd. Richard Ray and Grady Creasie got 4th and Larry Gilder and Charlie Lacy rounded out the top five.
Thanks to Cindy Turner and crew for being gracious hosts. Text Box: The shot was very demanding, but fair and only those who repeated well and kept their patience were able to bowl well.
We think we set another record with 46 bowlers over 70 bowling in a scratch event. Next year, we’ll be in a bigger center and hope to get 60. All 70 year olds should take note of the upcoming event at Cityview in Ft. Worth the first weekend of December. It will be a new format, with qualifying by age group, then two-game Text Box: matches in the finals (staying in your age group) until the final game. The age groups are 50-56, 57-62, 63-69, and 70 and over.
Our next tournament is in Longview, TX next week and the following week, we’ll be in Kenner, LA. We hope to have a big turnout in East Texas and Southern, LA. Let us know if you want to bowl.
