Text Box: Text Box: A special thanks to Marshall Medlin for ably filling in for me in Denton. He almost made the finals as well. Rick Talley’s passing was noted with some moving words by Phil Bailey and Marshall.
Text Box: Courtesy Note: When you are injured or for some reason can’t bowl on Sunday morning, please let us know. No-shows can affect the pairings and some advance notice would be extremely helpful.

Text Box: Jim Ensminger led the qualifying and first half of the finals...and looked uncatchable, but Roger West reeled off games of 279,279,279 and 277 to pass Jim and pull away. He averaged 260 in the finals. Wow, what a performance! It was Roger’s 12th SASBA title. Jim got 2nd, Bryce Ellison was 3rd, Maury Newman swept his matches to get 4th and John Hawkins Text Box: rounded out the top five.
Thanks to Daniel Cruz and staff for being great hosts. The center was clean and they obviously got their lane machine fixed as the scores were out of sight. It took a 228.5 average to make the finals...for a Super Senior tournament.
It was good to see some “old” faces in the faces. Don Holland, Pat Carrico, Colin Kyle Text Box: and the Baby Gorilla showed that they still “got it”. Mike Lynch almost made it. John Martin had a 300 and other award scores were plentiful.
Our next tournament is a regular singles in OKC in two weeks. Two weeks later, we’ll be in Port Arthur for the first time in a while. A big turnout there will help make this a regular stop.
