Text Box: Jim’s Notes Text Box: Paul McCordic stayed close to qualifying leader Mark Williams, then ran off 4 games of 269,289,267,289 in the finals to pull away and win his 6th SASBA title at Megaplay USA in Port Arthur, TX. Mark got 2nd, Gordon Stuntz finished 3rd, Rick Minier was 4th and Roger West rounded out the top five. Text Box: Thanks to the Matthews’ brothers and Mike Rodgers for hosting. The house looks great since the remodeling from 2 hurricanes and they had lots of extras for the bowlers. Charlie Hufford had the only 300. Phil Gessner, Jerry Watson and Darrell Coats made their first finals. It was Text Box: Darrell’s first tourney. I want to give a special shout-out to Albert Waites, who at the tender age of 72, made the finals and won 3 matches to finish in 12th place. Nice going Albert.
