Text Box: Text Box: T.J. Johnson, Rich Goodrich and Randy Marcks all left the lily. Michael Beach cashed in his first tournament. Gessner, Gordon and Gillane barely missed. Sam Howell brought homemade fried peach pies! Hmmmm!
Text Box: Judy is prepared for everything...even had a backup battery powered fan in case her 1st string fan broke...and it did. Kenny Robertson improved 363 pins over his last tournament.

Text Box: Jim Stephens led the qualifying and all the way to the final game, but Pete McCordic had crept within 12 pins prior to the match, so he only needed a win to pass Jim. Jim started with an open, then a spare and started stringing strikes. Pete began spare, strike, spare and then a string of his own. Jim struck through the 9th and watched Pete finish. Pete struck in the 9th, 10th, and 11th, but left a 10 pin on his fill ball for 269. Text Box: Jim could go off the sheet for 269 and a tie game, but would win the tourney because he had the 12 pin lead. That’s exactly what he did...3 strikes in the 10th to win the tournament! Nice bowling Jim. It was his 14th SASBA title.
Thanks to Rusty Bethley, Stuart and the rest of the Metro crew for being great hosts. Rusty got the Hollywood Casino to sponsor the tournament and Text Box: the house was clean, the shot fair and the machines ran great!
Dennis Moody finished 3rd, Kenny Cantu 4th and Ricky Siegfried rounded out the top 5.
May 1-2 is the trio tournament in Euless. Many are already working on their teams. Again, let us know if you need help as there will be many who want to bowl, but don’t have a team.
