Text Box: Text Box: CP started the tourney with 2 CPs. O.D. and Victor had MMs. It is always good to see old faces and this tournament Text Box: always brings out a few we haven’t seen in a while, such as Johnny McPhail, Dean Davis, Jim Petty, Bill Hatley, and Roger Brown.

Text Box: Fred Barnes, David Rountree and Tam Wasson qualified 2nd, then edged by the trio of Tip Bullock, Roger West and Mark Williams 216-214, who finished 3rd. In the title match they were up against Leon Aragon, Sam Magill and Shannon Starnes, who led the qualifying on Saturday and Sunday. The champs rolled 10 strikes out of 12 to shoot 266 and win the title. It was Text Box: Fred’s 13th title, David’s 8th and Tam’s 4th. Mario Colaluca, Steve Ray and Jim Stephens got 4th and Jerry Beavers, Maury Newman and Joe Lecroy finished 5th.
Thanks to Jerry Beavers and crew for being great hosts. The shot was fair and consistent.
Our next tournament is the annual non-champs tourney at Cityview in Fort Text Box: Worth. In 3 weeks, we go back to Copperfield in Houston. This is our longest running host in SASBA…being our 16th consecutive year visiting there.
August 7th and 8th, we will have a 50/60/guest trio in Odessa at Diamond Lanes. Start lining up your teams now. If you need a bowler, call us.
