Text Box: Mike Fleming (Leavenworth, KS) took the lead in the 2nd block and was never headed to win his 1st SASBA SC crown and 4th overall. DeWayne Thompson drew within reach for the title match, needing to win by 56, but Mike threw a 277 at him to erase any doubt. Gary Dickinson shot 269 the last game to pass DeWayne for 2nd. Chuck Pierce finished with a rush to nab 4th and Grady Creasie rounded out the top 5.
Ron French made his first finals in his 2nd tournament and Steve Berry was back in the finals after a 3 yr absence, recovering from a stroke. Way to go Steve and Ron!
Phil and Vickie Text Box: got married last week and were again, wonderful hosts. The volunteers who helped with the scores and ran the snack bar were great and everyone had a good time at the Pro-Am. Good shots were required on both sides to carry, though the lefties without torque couldn’t seem to string strikes.
Ron Hilton beat out Buck Chavis for “Dog of the Week” honors 127-128. Swank beat Walls. Maury Newman shot 299. Dickinson RAN OUT A LILY!!! Hufford left one also. Swank beat Walls. Sam Howell couldn’t stand up. Tom Wolf set the world’s record for hushpuppy eating! Huckelberry is a new grandfather! June beat Text Box: Text Box: Gary Dickinson
