Text Box: Gary Waddell Shines in Tupelo!!

Text Box: Sweeper Winners
Text Box: Gary Waddell, who has worked hard on his game over the last few years, received some payback at RebeLanes in Tupelo, MS as he used a 300 in the penultimate game of the finals to outlast Charles Alexander and Gordon Stuntz for his 2nd SASBA title.
Charles was the only bowler in the top 7 who crossed many boards. “Straighter is greater” was the order of the day and Gary was the greatest of them all.
Roger West got 4th, Phil Thompson was 5th and Kenny Winstead earned his highest finish to date rounding out the top 6.
Thanks, once again, to Kevin Hartigan and staff for their “extra mile” hospitality. The Text Box: shot was fair left and right and consistent day to day.
John Montgomery made his first finals after coming soooo close before. Bruce Hammer got “Dog of the Week” with a nice 123. 800s were rolled by Gordon Stuntz and Sam Howell. Sam also had a 300 game. Bobby Wilkinson had a big-time target on his back in the finals as his opponents averaged 259 against him. All but Gary started with at least the first six. Tough luck Bobby! Jim Mancell left TWO lillies! Rookie almost made it. Fred lost his side bet again. Gillane’s wheels came off again, but he found them the last three to get a Sunday check.
