Phil Prieto, El Paso, captured his third SASBA title, all doubles. Prieto and his partner, Derek Williams won the Member-Guest Doubles in Tulsa, with a runaway victory. The winning duo led the qualifying and the tournament during the 18 game Baker finals. One team made the finals, didn't check the scores, didn't show, and we had to take the alternate's in their place, remember the scores can come down, the last game. NOTES: Lavelle Lowe won the dog of the week award with 124 low game of the week. We met his wife, a child bride, looks like she has lowered his ball speed. The weather was sooo cold and a little drizzle caused the partking lots and side streets to be real slick. Jesse Jackson slipped under his vehicle and Helen Freehauf slipped down getting out of the car and could not get up(too old), until a nice man helped her! Super star Roger Weimer, Springfield, Mo, finally came to play and showed us why he is a super star. Charlie Avant bowled great on one leg. Gosh, he gets more strikes than most of us get on two legs. He hurt the other leg on the ice. Don't forget, time is running out to enter the Reno and Vegas events, get your entry in soon. Our next event is 300 Bowl in Conroe. We are already more then 1/2 full, don't get shut out.
