Text Box: Jamie’s Tournament Notes Text Box: Creasie and Carl Barsotti were fourth, and Mike Fleming and John Hawkins were fifth. Our next event is our annual trip to Conroe at 300 Bowl. Text Box: Jim Stephens and Jerry Beavers won the Ebonite Senior Tour Super Senior/Senior Doubles Tournament at Holiday Lanes in Oklahoma City. Stephens started with two two-teen games and then averaged two sixty for the next seven games to lead his doubles team to a commanding lead going into to Sunday’s finals. Text Box: They bowled so good that they were 239 pins ahead going into the last match. The Beav did his part too! They were so far ahead at one time that he tried his spare ball on the first shot once. It didn’t hook, but neither did his strike ball hook. Jim Ensminger and Roger West finished a distant second, Mark Estes and Phil Bailey finished third, Grady Text Box: STEPHENS & THE BEAV Text Box: Jamie’s Tournament Notes Text Box: Tricky Dicky Smith rolled a 127 to win the dog of the week award for low game of the tournament. Jim Stephens had the only 300 game. Steve (The Coach) motored over from Fort Smith to bowl with Fred Hicks. Steve’s bowling balls were not in the car that he drove Text Box: to the bowling center. Without equipment they could not bowl. Steve would not even come in the bowl to take the music. This tournament was our 400 event since we started in April of 1990. The South Central has over 100 tournaments which bring us to over 500 SASBA Text Box: tournaments. On a sad note Richard Reeves lost his battle with cancer last week. Richard bowled the first eight years with us. One more good guy gone. Lionel Jordan is working hard getting himself back in shape, good luck to him.
